Dougie Donnelly, was he sacked for being incompetant?

Mr Donnelly seems to think that his sacking from Sports Scotland was political, but lets be honest until he was sacked who in the public even knew DD was employed in a role to promote Scottish Athletics. Most us, myself included, thought that DD was just a Clyde supporting bluenose who occasional did the sport on the BBC. How come when he gets sack he makes tonnes of noise, yet when the English Government stole lottery money destined for Scots sports there wasn`t a cheap from Mr Donnelly?
