If i remove the governoron my go cart will it be at more risk of breaking or blowing the engine?

IT IS A BAJA BLASTER 65 AND I AM TRYING TO MAKE IT FASTER AND MORE POWERFUL BUT BY REMOVING THE GOVERNOR WONT THE ENGINE BREAK MORE EASIER
