Should I tex him or wait it out?

Long story short this guy I liked I asked him out he says so we should be friends he says is that ok I say ya.That was last friday.SO I texd him the next day making small talk letting him no Im not the type of girl that would ignore him. we haven't texed each other Sense? Should I tex him or just see him tomorrow and see if he's going to act awkward?
